Spanning a total of 14 states, the Appalachian Trail extends north from Georgia covering nearly 2,200 miles of ground. If you are a step counter, you would log 5 million steps if you traveled this entire footpath, the longest of its kind in the United States. Our burnt wall map features not only the areas through which the trial winds, but also some critters you might see during your journey. We’ve even artfully carved the profile of Daniel Boone.
